Export your workspace's data

An admin of a workspace can take a copy of everything in it out of Pixonaut at any time: before deleting the workspace, while a termination notice runs, or just to keep a copy of their own. Open Settings, go to Export data and choose Export data.

The export runs in the background. You can leave the page: when it is ready, you are notified in the studio and by email, and its files are listed in the same place for you to download. It is also listed on the Background jobs page while it runs.

Each file is a zip. A large workspace’s export comes in several, of at most 256 MB each, which you download one by one; each is a whole zip of its own.

Path What it is
templates/<id>.json Each template: its name and settings, its draft, and every version you published.
designs/<id>.json Each design: its status, template, and its document as it stands now.
orders.csv Every order, one row each: its references, status, printshop, what was ordered, the recipient and address, and tracking.
assets/library/… Your library’s pictures, as you uploaded them.
assets/design-upload/… Pictures your customers uploaded into their designs.
assets.json Every picture: its id, name, kind, type, size and file.
prints/<id>/… Each print’s files, as they were rendered.

Templates and designs in the trash are left out. An order whose personal data was erased has an empty recipient and address, and says when it was erased; the same goes for a design’s and a print’s files that were erased.

Print files in an export count nothing. Getting a print’s files without an order otherwise counts as an order (see Prints); taking them out in an export does not, and records no order.

An export is kept for 7 days after it is ready, then deleted. Starting a new one replaces the one before once the new one is ready, and only one runs at a time. Deleting the workspace deletes its export with it.

Who started an export, and each download of it, is recorded in the workspace’s audit log. Only the workspace’s admins can start or download one, and never in a sandbox.

The export is the workspace’s data. A copy of your own account’s personal data, across every workspace you belong to, is a separate download on your Account page.
